Middle School Technology Committee
The Middle School Technology committee meets on a regular
basis to provide guidance and support for the use of
instructional technology at the middle school level. The
primary functions of the committee are:
- to author and maintain model middle school technology
planning template.
- to play a key role in district technology planning.
- to plan instructional technology staff development
activities.
- to request adequate technology funding support for
middle school technology.
- to support pilots of promising technology.
- to standardize to appropriate software and hardware.
- to identify best sources and prices for software.
- to share and collaborate on a regular basis.
- to form appropriate subcommittees for specific tasks.
The Middle School Technology Committee has determined
that certain technology skill sets need to be taught to
students in Denver middle schools. The technology skills
that the committee recommends be taught are outlined below.
