Online Projects
Utilizing the Internet for online projects holds many educational
possibilities. A wealth of projects are currently underway that seek
to arrange student "keypals" (the Internet version of "penpals"),
establish "telecollaboratives"; cooperative global data gathering and
sharing projects, and to track explorer/adventurers and NASA space
missions. Additionally, established projects provide students
opportunities for publishing their work on the Internet. The current
possibilities for participatory and interactive uses of the Internet
for educational purposes are great. More quality projects are also
becoming available on a regular basis. Below are some resources for
educators to investigate as you begin, or continue, your explorations
into online project possibilities.
